The work
Brooklyn Vapor Blasting is a specialist shop, not a general blast-everything operation. Our core work is restoration-quality surface finishing — engine cases, carburetors, covers and precision assemblies — for builders, restoration shops and collectors who demand OEM-correct results.
Because we understand how these components are built and reassembled, every job is approached the same way the mechanic putting it back together would.
Why vapor blasting
Over time aluminum collects oxidation, fuel residue, baked-on staining and environmental wear that standard cleaning can't touch. Dry media blasting is too aggressive — it pits surfaces and alters tolerances.
Vapor blasting suspends fine media in water, so it lifts contamination while preserving the original casting texture. The result is a clean, uniform, satin finish that looks factory-correct — without removing base material or opening up critical clearances.

How we quote
Every job is quoted on the part — complexity, condition and volume all move the number. We don't publish flat rates because two parts that look alike can be very different jobs. Send a few photos and we'll come back with a real range, not a guess.
We price what's actually in front of us — type, size and how it's built — rather than a generic per-hour rate.
Heavy oxidation, baked-on staining, intricate fins and masking-heavy surfaces all add time to the job.
Full engines and multi-part batches are priced per project — send the whole list for an accurate number.
